About Matthew Brewer

Matthew Brewer has dedicated his legal career to the practice of personal injury and workers’ compensation law. He is licensed to practice in all Illinois courts, the U.S. District Court, and before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. Over the years, Matthew has built a reputation as an aggressive and skilled litigator, taking numerous cases to trial and securing substantial awards for his clients.
Matthew earned his undergraduate degree in Business Marketing from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he was a four-year letter winner on Dan Callahan’s SIUC baseball team. Following his collegiate career, he played professional baseball in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization where he was a member of the Missoula Osprey’s 2006 Pioneer League Championship team. 
After baseball he returned to Carbondale to earn his Juris Doctor from the Southern Illinois University School of Law. During law school, Matthew served as President of the Sports Law Society and worked at the SIUC Athletic Department, further demonstrating his leadership and commitment to excellence.
Since beginning his legal career, Matthew has exclusively represented clients in personal injury and workers’ compensation matters. His accomplishments have earned him significant recognition within the legal community. He was named a Forty Under 40 recipient by the Springfield Business Journal, honoring emerging leaders in Springfield and surrounding communities. He was also recognized as an Emerging Lawyer, a distinction awarded to the top 2% of lawyers age 40 or younger. Since turning 40, Matthew has been named a Leading Lawyer each year.
Matthew’s competitive nature, organization, and meticulous preparation allow him to provide the highest level of representation to his clients, consistently advocating for their rights with determination and skill.
